The initial discovery phase of travel planning required extensive back-and-forth communication via emails and phone calls to understand client preferences, travel group composition, budget constraints, destination interests, seasonal considerations, and activity preferences. The exploratory work was highly time-consuming for both travel agents and clients.

Our AI-powered solution took the form of an intelligent Travel Assistant, a conversational AI that redefines how the client engages travelers. Instead of rigid forms or static searches, users enjoy a natural dialogue that mirrors the empathy and expertise of the luxury travel agents.
Travelers simply express their wishes: “I’m looking for a warm destination in November, flying from London.” The AI interprets intent, queries specialized agents, and delivers precise, contextual recommendations. As the dialogue unfolds, it refines choices like budget, group size, interests, and timing.
The assistant asks follow-ups, shares destination insights, suggests tailored activities, and provides practical details, such as weather, visa information, and local events. Its mission is to inspire, qualify, and inform, not replacing human expertise, but completing it. When ready, it collects contact details and passes a fully qualified lead to an agent for a personalized proposal.
For returning users, the system enables account creation and profile building, saving history to make future interactions more personal.
Technologies
The solution uses an agentic AI architecture powered by specialized microservices. At its core is an orchestrator built in NestJS that manages the conversation, keeps context, and coordinates the flow.
These agents, developed as FastAPI microservices, possess deep expertise about destinations, flight availability, accommodation options, local events and festivals, weather, visa requirements, and activity suggestions tailored to the traveler’s profile.
The frontend delivers this experience through a modern, responsive React interface styled with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui components, presenting information through clear text, structured bullet points, and evocative imagery that brings destinations to life.
The solution leverages a modern, scalable technology stack designed for performance, maintainability, and extensibility:
