Nordlogic by AROBS has implemented the platform to automatize medicines price extraction for the referencing process in the Republic of Moldova
Cluj-Napoca, May 23, 2025 – Nordlogic by AROBS, part of the AROBS Group, the largest technology company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, has successfully implemented the platform for automatization of the process of medicines price extraction for external referencing in the Republic of Moldova.
The eHealth solution, designed for the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of the Republic of Moldova (AMDM), facilitates the calculation of medicines prices according to the external referencing method, using official price sources from several European countries.
The project is part of a broader effort supported by WHO, through its country office in the Republic of Moldova and with the assistance of EU funding, to improve medicine accessibility and align the Republic of Moldova with European Union standards in pharmaceutical pricing regulations. This initiative aims to increase the transparency and efficiency of the medicines pricing process, thus contributing to optimizing public health policies in the country. WHO recently announced the finalization of the project on its website, here: https://www.who.int/republic-of-moldova/news/item/06-03-2025-digital-automation-tools-improve-access-and-affordability-of-medicines-in-the-republic-of-moldova.
“The selection of Nordlogic by AROBS for this strategically important project for Moldova reaffirms our group’s position as an international player in developing advanced software solutions for critical sectors, including eHealth and digital governance. Our global presence and partnerships with international organizations allow us to apply our expertise to projects that have a positive impact on communities. Digitalizing the external reference pricing process for medicines will bring tangible benefits to the Republic of Moldova’s healthcare system, enhancing transparency and operational efficiency. We are pleased to contribute to the modernization of the country’s healthcare system and to leverage technology for real-world objectives that generate value for society,” stated Voicu Oprean, Founder and CEO of AROBS.
The platform developed by Nordlogic will enable the automated extraction of price information from official databases in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Greece. It also facilitates the processing and organization of this data into a unified database, available in both Romanian and English, and the implementation of a pricing algorithm based on the methodology established by a government resolution issued in Moldova in 2023. The system features an intuitive user interface, allowing quick calculations and providing the option for manual price updates.
“Automating the external reference pricing process for medicines is a crucial step in increasing transparency and efficiency in pharmaceutical pricing across Moldova. The platform we developed will significantly reduce the time required for price calculations, enabling AMDM to monitor and update medicine prices more accurately and efficiently, while minimizing human errors,” stated Ovidiu Codreanu, COO, Nordlogic by AROBS.
Through this collaboration, the company reaffirms its ability to transform essential processes through technology, directly contributing to the efficiency of the Republic of Moldova’s healthcare system. This project is one of a larger series of platforms and solutions created by the company for intergovernmental organizations.
