AROBS posts consolidated revenues of 212.6 million lei and a consolidated net profit of 38.3 million lei in the first nine months of 2022
Cluj-Napoca, November 24, 2022 – AROBS Transilvania Software (BVB: AROBS), the largest technology company listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, posts consolidated operating revenues of 212.6 million lei in the first nine months of 2022, a 209 million lei turnover, EBITDA of 55 million lei, and a consolidated net profit of 38.3 million lei.
The nine-month consolidated results also partially include the performance of the new companies acquired by AROBS as of December 2021, with the support of the capital raised from BVB investors. Therefore, the financial performances of Berg Software, AROBS Engineering (former business line Enea Software Development Services Romania), and Nordlogic group are reflected within the AROBS group as of January, July, and August 2022, respectively.
“This year, with the support of BVB investors, we accelerated the development of the AROBS group by carrying out M&A transactions, but also through organic growth in the markets and industries where we are already present. In the first nine months of 2022, we completed two transactions, AROBS Engineering and Nordlogic group. We are currently working with the two companies on integrating them into AROBS. The financial results for the year’s first nine months convince us that our development strategy is starting to pay off and motivates us to continue in this direction. Our objective is that in the next five years, AROBS will be a group that brings together many Romanian entrepreneurial companies from the IT sector under its umbrella and through which entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to take their businesses to the next level,” stated Voicu Oprean, founder and CEO of AROBS.
In the first three quarters of the year, AROBS continued to grow in terms of financial results through new major projects in software services and by signing new clients in the product area. Also, the new companies acquired this year contributed to the significant increase in turnover at the group level – Berg Software (for nine months) with 12,3 million lei, AROBS Engineering (for three months) contributed 11.6 million lei, while the Nordlogic group (for two months) contributed 2.7 million lei.
Regarding the budget for 2022 at the consolidated level, AROBS reached, in the first nine months of the year, 93% of the expected revenues for the entire current year, 77% of the EBITDA, and 67% of the net profit. According to the revenue and expenditure budget for 2022, AROBS targets revenues of 227.5 million lei this year, EBITDA of 71.3 million lei, and a net profit of 57.3 million lei.
Globally, demand for services and software products continues as companies and organizations need to digitalize their processes. Therefore, AROBS will continue to invest in research and innovation and in the development of new areas of expertise to consolidate its position in the markets where it is present. A confirmation of the company’s expansion in this direction is represented by the launch of AROBS E-toll Solutions at the beginning of September, a complementary service to fleet management through which transport companies will be able to pay their road tolls in Europe.
In parallel with the publication of the results for the first nine months of the year, on November 24, 2022, AROBS completed the first stage of its Stock Option Plan program, through which approximately 300 employees, specialists from the AROBS team, received 3,040,396 shares. Implementing such a program is a differentiator of AROBS in the technology job market, where recruiting highly qualified personnel is an increasing challenge.
“Since the listing of AROBS, one of the company’s strategic directions has been to focus on employee motivation and retention by adopting several actions, including a “Stock Option Plan” program. This approach is a natural step in building within AROBS a culture open to communication, innovation, and entrepreneurship, community spirit, which encourages professional and personal growth, creates a space for involvement, and, at the same time, a partnership. The involvement of colleagues in the performance of the company is an element that distinguishes AROBS in the market and can attract talents with extensive expertise in the field, which can contribute both to the growth of the software services business line for the global market, and in the development of software products for the domestic market and not only. At the same time, we hope that with this program, we will open the appetite of our colleagues to become future investors on the Bucharest Stock Exchange,” added Voicu Oprean.
In the next period, AROBS will continue the M&A activity and the process of buying back shares from the market to implement the second stage of the Stock Option Plan program, which will reward the members of the AROBS team for their performance in the development of the business. Also, the management of AROBS maintains the objective of moving to the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange next year after the consolidated IFRS audit for 2020, 2021, and 2022.
AROBS Transilvania Software is listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of December 6, 2021. The company currently has a market capitalization of approximately 788 million lei.
