AROBS a top custom software development company

// For logistics service providers, shippers and TMS operators

Between your TMS / WMS and everyone who needs its data sits a layer of manual work: orders re-keyed from email, statuses chased by phone, and freight bills handled one at a time. With years of customs and logistics software development expertise, we automate that layer with advanced logistics technologies. Portals, order entry, freight messaging and document capture – built around the systems you already run.

Talk to our logistics software experts!

The question is no longer whether your logistics operation digitalises. It is whether the software around your TMS was built for 2030 — or bolted on in 2015 and patched ever since.

Your operations today

  • Orders arrive by email and telephone, then get re-keyed into the TMS
  • A person answers “Where is my shipment?”
  • Each partner needs its own bespoke interface, maintained by whoever built it
  • Transport documents live in paper, PDFs and inboxes
  • Planners spend mornings on data entry you cannot recruit for

Your operations with us

  • Customers enter orders themselves, validated at source and written straight into the TMS
  • A portal answers it, using live TMS data, at three in the morning.
  • One messaging platform handles every dialect, with one team accountable
  • Structured digital documents
  • Planners spend time on planning

Choose the right logistics software development services

Our experts have developed solutions for the Benelux logistics sector since 1989, and almost everything below started as one client’s specific problem. Now we’re helping companies increase productivity through custom logistics software development & automation.

We use Tech as a catalyst.

We create environments where every employee can use their potential, and where work is creative and inspiring. We automate operations, not strategic work.

Every transaction is captured, timestamped and properly organised for audits, ensuring clear logistics data management.

Employee satisfaction
Employee satisfaction

People spend their day on work that needs judgement, not on transcription.

Supporting ROI procurement

We agree on the target KPI before we build the project, and we measure results according to it.

AI & Automation Software for Logistics Companies

A digital workforce that runs overnight and reduces workflow errors. Improve transportation management & supply chain management

Every logistics company carries a layer of repetitive tasks: the same figures typed twice, the same status chased across three portals – elements that create operational challenges. Software robots handle them across your delivery operations and warehouse operations without transcription errors. They work inside the systems you already run – no replacement, no re-platforming.

What we automate for logistics businesses. Logistics software development

  • Data entry between your systems and B2B portals – the same shipment keyed once, not four times
  • Shipment tracking and scheduling – statuses collected and pushed to customers and your TMS automatically for efficient shipping operations
  • Freight bill payment and invoices – bills gathered, invoices raised and chased without manual matching
  • Proofs of delivery – captured, filed and reconciled against the load
  • Load close-out – exceptions researched and loads closed without a person opening every file
  • Customer onboarding – new accounts set up across systems from one entry

How we start

We assess the automation funnel and logistics processes maturity first, then rank processes by payback rather than by how interesting they are to automate. We don’t build anything until we agree on your objectives.

  • Automate at pace

"FWF is not only a software supplier, but they have indeed what's really possible and perhaps also what's not possible. They helped us getting started and to accelerate, always with the intention that we would eventually become more independent and self-sufficient for the future. Which is appreciated."

Four steps. Advanced logistics software solutions.

1

We map how your work actually flows today - orders in, status out, exceptions, hand-offs, re-keying. We score automation maturity, rank your processes by payback, and develop high-performing logistics platforms.

1

Assess the process

Assess the process
2

We agree on the metrics the project must move: hours reclaimed per week, order errors per thousand, days to invoice, calls into your service desk. We confirm scope, timeline, and pricing after this step, so we don't promise anything until we understand your logistics workflows.

2

Define the outcome

Define the outcome
3

In-house development of multiple types of logistics software solutions, built to your process and integrated with your systems. You see working software early and often, not a specification document at the end of a quarter.

3

Build the right solution

Build the right solution
4

We go live on one flow, one depot or one customer first, prove the number, then scale the results. Delivery isn't the final step; it's what enables our long-term partnership.

4

Deliver and scale

Deliver and scale

Most vendors run your transport. Our logistics software development services run everything around it.

Your customers want a portal with their branding and their data. Your team want orders arriving as structured messages, not email attachments to rekey. Your partners each want a different EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) dialect. Your compliance team wants an audit trail that survives an inspection.

That is the layer we build. We start where your TMS stops and connect the two. It is a complementary layer, not a replacement, and no rip-and-replace is required.

Our Benelux team has built business software in Breda and Brecht since 1989, largely for logistics and the public sector. When a project needs more capacity than our local team has, AROBS scales the bench — the same delivery, more people, no new vendor. For process automation, we establish essential details from the start – maturity assessment first, automation second, measurable ROI as the deliverable.

Three forces are reshaping the logistics industry

There is a driver shortage across Europe

The IRU’s latest global driver shortage survey puts Europe among the worst-affected regions: roughly 502,000 unfilled truck driver positions, or 13% of all driver jobs. Around 660,500 European drivers are due to retire by 2030. You cannot recruit your way out of that gap. But you can stop spending scarce planner and driver hours on data entry.

driver shortage
paper freight

Paper freight now has an expiry date. Going digital

From 9 July 2027, every enforcement authority across the EU must accept freight transport information submitted electronically through a certified eFTI platform, under Regulation (EU) 2020/1056. The Netherlands is already building its national eFTI gate. The framework is settled. What is still open is whether your messaging layer is ready before your largest customer asks for it in a tender.

The city is closing in on your fleet.

Twenty Dutch municipalities now operate zero-emission zones for city logistics, with at least ten more scheduled. Access tightens again for Euro 5 vans on 1 January 2027 and closes to all fossil-fuel vans and lorries in 2030. Those zones are enforced by cameras, number plates and exemption registers – which makes compliance a software problem long before it becomes a fleet problem.

Start with one process. Measure it. Then scale.

Bring us the process that slows down your team most. In one session, we will map it, raise the payback, and tell you honestly whether software is the right answer.

FAQs

Keep it. This is a layer around your TMS, not a replacement. We integrate with your existing APIs and EDI channels and add the customer-facing and messaging functions a TMS was never built to provide. Prove it on one flow before you commit further.

Standard software is the right answer when your process is standard. In logistics, it rarely is. Your customer mix, your partner dialects, and your service promises are why clients choose you. We provide logistics software development that fits how you work, so your people do not spend the next five years working around a product.

That is the normal starting point. We deliver the project, integrate with what you have, and maintain it afterwards under one agreement. Your team is involved in decisions and access, not in building work.

The process assessment is quick and gives you a ranked list of processes with estimated payback. Building timelines are confirmed after that step against an agreed scope – we do not quote a date before we understand the work. The first release targets one flow, so you get value before the full roll-out.

Logistics software development cost depends on scope, so we price after the assessment, not before. Our service options span fixed price, managed capacity and outcome-based models. The assessment gives you the ROI case in your own numbers.
